Magna IV Engineering is proud to share the news that Virginia Balitski, CET has become the newest member of the NETA Board of Directors, as of June 2021. Virginia has been involved with NETA since joining Magna in 2006 and has supported numerous technical committees. Her industry experience and strong commitment to electrical worker safety and best practices is obvious to us at Magna and has also been noticed by the NETA community, making her a clear choice to serve on their Board.
NETA Board members play an important role in our industry as their expertise contributes to the association's visioning and planning, and the growth and success of their members and certified technicians. As Manager of Training and Development at Magna, Virginia focuses on growing our electrical safety training and consulting programs in addition to industry involvement and thought leadership.

About Virginia
Virginia began her career with Magna in 2006 as a Field Service Technologist after completing the Electrical Engineering Technology program at NAIT. She enjoyed her time in the field as she progressed in her NETA certification to Level IV. Virginia became a Field Service Project Manager in 2012 while taking on the challenge of building Magna's internal training department. She has been instrumental in developing technical training programs that are vital to our team members as they join and develop within Magna. In 2018, Virginia became Magna's Training and Development Manager, focusing on both personnel development, and the portfolio of electrical training Magna offers its clients. Her team has built standard and customizable programs and facilitated training to thousands of attendees to date, including:

In addition to NETA, Virginia provides expertise to the Canadian Standards Association as a member of the CSA-Z462 committee (Workplace Electrical Safety). She has been involved with the committee since 2011 and is the current Vice-Chair.
